This Saturday our partners, Glass Half Full, will again be accepting your glass at 5620 Tchoupitoulas, corner of Arabella and Tchoupitoulas (the big grey building with the Missionary Expeditors sign next to the Shell station). Instructions for recycling are below:
Glass Recycling Instructions
Give your bottles a quick rinse and set them aside, then on the first and third Saturdays of each month drop them off at 5620 Tchoupitoulas, corner of Arabella and Tchoupitoulas (the big grey building with the Missionary Expeditors sign next to the Shell station).
The site will be open to receive your bottles on those days between 9:00 and 11:00am. Entrance is off Arabella at the river.
The glass will be recycled by Glass Half Full, the company started by two Tulane students that now offers individual home pickup starting at $22/month. They recycle glass into sand and gravel for disaster relief and prevention, coastal restoration, eco-construction, new glass products, and more. We only ask that you toss a dollar or two into the jar when you drop off to cover the cost of pickup by Glass Half Full.
